Nurse Practitioner

Full-Time (Permanent)

The Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic is recruiting a full time permanent Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (NP-PHC).  Our interdisciplinary team provides primary health care services that embrace the foundations of nursing practice.  The Ingersoll NPLC is committed to our community’s wellness and that of our staff.

In addition to primary health care clinical services, the Ingersoll NPLC provides mental health and addictions counseling and chronic disease management programs to address diabetes, hypertension and obesity.  We work collaboratively with many community partners to address health care issues affecting residents of Oxford County. Use of the latest technology has allowed us to be innovative and efficient in our approach to primary health care.

A short commute, located only 15-30 minutes from Kitchener, London, and Woodstock in the beautiful town of Ingersoll.  This position also offers a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will work two 11 hour and two 7.75 hour shifts per week providing them a 3 day weekend.

The Nurse Practitioner role includes the following core responsibilities:

  • Provides primary health care services for the residents of the Town of Ingersoll and surrounding area (Oxford County);
  •  Provides care that upholds the Standards of Practice: Nurse Practitioner (College of Nurses of Ontario) and the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Core Competency Framework (Canadian Nurses Association);
  • Provides care that is based on evidence-based practice and best practice guidelines in the context of a philosophy of nursing;
  • Promotes and participates in an interdisciplinary team model and collaborates with providers and clients to manage care;
  • Demonstrates a commitment to workplace wellness that includes a respectful work environment, work-life balance and self-care.


  • Completion of a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Master of Nursing Degree
  •  Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a  Registered Nurse in the Extended Class with a specialty designation in Primary Health Care (NP – PHC) and no restrictions to practice
  • Completion of a CNO approved controlled substances course
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to workplace wellness
  • Ability to work extended hours two days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Minimum of two years experience in primary health care preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and various necessary software applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Ontario (NPAO)
  • Current proof of professional liability insurance
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate
  • Current police vulnerable screening check
