Clinic Manager

 

The Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (NPLC) is seeking a Clinic Manager to join our multi-disciplinary team of primary care and mental health care providers.   The Ingersoll NPLC is one of 25 in Ontario that are fully funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health to provide primary health care in communities across the province.  The Ingersoll NPLC is committed to patient-centered care that is based on a self-management model that promotes a partnership between the patient and their care provider. The Town of Ingersoll is located in the heart of Oxford County providing the best of small town life, and is located a short drive from many larger communities.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with and reporting to the Clinic Director, the Clinic Manager will be responsible for managing the daily non-clinical operations of the NPLC.  These responsibilities will include:

  • Manage clinic finances and capital budget
  • Coordinate and supervise reception staff activities and routines to ensure efficiency
  • Provide human resources support for all NPLC staff
  • Oversee occupational health & safety of the clinic and staff
  • Prepare reports and required submissions for the Board of Directors and the Ontario Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care
  • Attend monthly Board Meetings
  • Promote a health work environment
  • Provide basic information technology (IT) support and data management in collaboration with our IT provider

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in public administration or human resources with preference given to those with  post-graduate  education in health administration
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in a health care setting
  • Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Thorough understanding of basic accounting and budgeting
  • Sound knowledge of human resource management
  • Proficiency with data collection and working with electronic medical records (EMRs)
  • Commitment to promoting a healthy work environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Availability to work daytime hours  Monday to Friday and one evening per month
